Job Descripion

Conduct manpower planning with focus on productivity and optimum utilization of manpower

- Identify issues and process gaps to improve alignment, manpower productivity and minimize redundancies

- Attract high-quality talent into the Organization within the defined timelines & cost

- Drive performance, accountability & alignment with business imperatives

- Execute the Performance Management Process with regard to Goal Setting, Performance Discussions, Yearly Reviews & Consequence Management at the plant level

- Execute the Performance Bonus scheme

- Measure effectiveness of the appraisal system and constantly review the process in alignment with the business requirement

- To supervise and guide team members to ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual returns filing.

- To ensure compliance with various acts in regards to applicable Labour laws

- Liaison and interact with statutory authorities such as Director of Factories, Labour Commissioner, Assistant Labour Commissioner /Regional Labour Commissioner /Regional Director ESI for issues related to compliance

- To ensure adherence to Quality & Safety systems

Contractor/Union Management :

- To ensure management of contractors with regards to their payment, issuing of work order, licenses, registration, statutory obligations such as filing of PF and ESI returns, etc

- To regularly interact with contractors and labor unions regarding matters related to disruption of work through strikes, wage union settlement, etc to ensure smooth industrial relations

Liaison

- To liaison with local administrative authorities - government, police, legal for harmonious relations

- To liaison with local villagers and panchayats for handling their grievances

- Design and build employee engagement/retention initiatives including reward & recognition, appreciation, celebrations, and other non-monetary reward schemes and drive the same

- Identify employee issues and address grievances/ dissatisfaction cases, etc

- Vehicle management

- Build the talent pipeline for critical positions by developing robust Career & Succession planning mechanisms

- Conduct capability assessment for employees, identify gaps and accordingly formulate development plans

- Execute training as per plan
