Its righteously the era of instant,
quick up,
facilitative things, which has made our lives an easy nut to crack.
But then, the " ache din” does not remain constant, and especially not, when it
comes to
corporates.
Nothing to worry about, since
corporates are not the
kurukshetra from where you cannot return. You just
need your head right, sorted and alive, once entered; you can make a bang on
appearance by just keeping some points in mind. Not calling it "hacks”, let’s
say more of "tacts” which you require to keep in mind before stepping into the
stepping stone of
corporates.
The different management courses in
various fields, done from innumerable institute, can never guide you about what
"literally”
corporateis. Relax; it is not a rocket science.
But again, it is utmost essential to carry forward the teachings back from
school and colleges or the previous job about the discipline and the body
language skills, more of soft skills.
The one thing, which gets reviewed
after your resume, is your body language, and those lessons from college
classes and previous jobs come into application over here. They are sitting
there to recruit a human, and not papers, so essentially stand upright,
confident and bang on!
Today,
corporates spends
ample
amount of money into training and development of their employees to meet up to
the marks of the high benchmarked industry norms. Soft skills are like
the staple diet for all those who are into
corporates.
Right from your dressing sense, your
attitude, the way you speak, you react; the giants sitting on that side of the
table notice everything. Hence, it is beneficial to pack all these things along
with your tiffin every morning!
Right next comes the relations you
maintain. At times it happens that a person becomes everyone’s apple of
eyewithin a very short period of time. While the other is always found scribbling
or filing or surfing on the internet. It is all the
scenario of public
relations and communication skills. Not as a part of compulsion, but you need
to maintain a good harmony with your fellow mates.
First things first, these things can
come with training and practicing, but the urge of learning and growing must
never shatter in an individual, also it must not get onto such destructive
level, which transforms you as a human itself. A harmonious balance between
what is right and what is wrong must be maintained. Stay target and deadline
oriented, keep your boss in loop of whatever you do or aspire to do. He is your
boss and not a demon, try to have a friendly relations with him, and keep
your
side safe.
These are some
"Tacts” which will help and individual
on an initial level. But as they say, as
you try and test and practice your learnings, things will start
detanglingitself and then sky is the limit for you!
